About Us

Small businesses are the core of the our economy, and, perhaps more importantly, represent the American Dream for millions of entrepreneurs. Fortunately, the U.S. Small Business Administration operates the largest small business financing program in the world: the 7(a) loan program.

In 2019 alone, the SBA 7(a) loan program helped to guarantee more than $23 billion in small business loans. That year, the SBA guaranteed loans for more than 58,000 borrowers via its 7(a) and 504 loan programs.

In 2020, in response to the COVID-19-related lockdowns, President Donald Trump and U.S. Congress, in a rare moment of bipartisanship, worked together to pass the CARES Act. This created the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), giving it a $669 billion mandate to support small businesses during the pandemic.

While the results were far from perfect (and some businesses took advantage), the PPP program prevented tens of thousands of American small businesses from closing (perhaps permanently) during the crisis.

In the rush to obtain financing, those who knew how the program worked were at an automatic advantage to those who did not. SBA7a.US, founded in the wake of these crises, aims to help keep small business owners well-informed of their financing options, so they can remain cool and in-control, even when faced with a crisis.

At SBA7a.US, we believe that financial expertise shouldn’t just be for the big guys. From the smallest lemonade stand to the largest bank, everyone deserves a fair opportunity to get reasonably-priced business financing.

While the SBA provides many incredible loan options, we acknowledge that SBA loans may not be for everyone. And, while we are called “SBA7a.US,” we happily feature detailed guides on non-SBA business loans, as well as short-term financing options for emergencies, such as factoring and various other forms of invoice-based financing, such as merchant cash advances (MCAs).

No matter what kind of loan you use, when it comes to getting business financing, knowledge is power. Our brand exists to empower and educate entrepreneurs with everything they need to chase after their version of the American Dream.
